2017 UCE Results Released

The ministry of Education has released the 2017 UCE results indicating a general improved performance and reduced failure rate.
While releasing the results this morning, the Uganda National Examination Board Chairperson Mary Okwakol said they recorded a failure rate of 8% compared to 13% in 2016.
She noted that up to 41% of the candidates passed in the lower division that is fourth grade.
Okwakol said that the board has registered an improvement in the performance with students who passed in division one at 10% from 7.5% in 2016.
On the general performance she says that out of the three hundred and twenty thousand candidates who turned for the exams,two hundred eighty seven passed while twenty seven thousand failed completely.
Female candidates performed better in the English language compared to the male counter parts.
She has urged members of the public to partner with UNEB to ensure Malpractice free examinations.
